Langbaai Beach is a more private beach, mainly used by locals situated between Kammabaai and Kwaai Water (Stormy Waters). Therefore parking is very limited and the beach more isolated. This is ideal for a quiet picnic or a romantic day on the beach as it also offers safe swimming at low tide, is clean and well kept and is very picturesque. However, no bathrooms are available.
Kammabaai is popular among families with small children, a cosy and intimate beach yet only suitable for swimming at low tide. Ablution facilities are basic however Voëlklip beach is just a 2-minute walk along the cliff path. Ample parking is available.
Voëlklip Beach is a favourite among surfers. Voëlklip Beach offers spacious green lawns leading down to the beach with a few rocky coves nearby for a more private beach experience; very popular during peak season and summer holidays. Refreshments are a few minutes’ walk away at a nearby Deli and coffee shop. Ablution facilities are basic yet sufficient. Parking is limited.
Situated between Onrus and Fisherhaven, Breakfast Bay is located on the boundary of the Vermont Nature Reserve. It is ideal for a quiet or romantic picnic and also offers lots of space for children to play on both the beach and the surrounding dunes.
Sandbaai beach is situated between Hermanus and Onrus and popular at low tide. It offers safe swimming and good snorkelling during the Summer months. Although it is mainly used by locals in the area it still offers ample parking, showers and change rooms for crowds.
